The persisting social problems in the neighborhood require a prolonged intervention with parents and families. Domestic violence, in particular, is one of the most serious problems in the area. Women and children are both victims of violence and there is very little intervention by public or private agencies. There is also a need to address other issues within the family, such as involvement in the education process, parent-child communication, masculinity, etc. Workshops are held with parents and other family members, to address critical issues that affect children, and family stability.
